??? ???

We discussed a short story in literature class the other day. Title was "Spy vs Spy". Guess what happened to me on that same day? The same thing that happened in the story!!! I was shocked when it happened that I was laughing to myself.

That night, for the first time ever, EVER. I had a chat with my brother's girlfriend. For the first time! Never talk to her before, never even talk about her. At first when she came online I thought ok maybe she simply wanna kacau me, nothing better to do or what. So I layan only lah.

Then in the end the shocking part happened, she ajak me to join her, my brother and some of their friends for some high school gathering! Just like in Spy vs Spy. What a coincidence. Is it the Universe giving me a heads up? Used some emo words to influence me some more. Damn... I didn't go by the way. If I went, confirm will be damn awkward. So sudden. So unexpected. See I can't even think of a title for this post.

What my brother said? Nothing. Cover macho habis...

Run Run

I just noticed something. I'm actually an underpronator or supinator. What's that? Too bad its not a good thing. This means I'm not running how I'm supposed to run. Supination is when you put more pressure on the outer side of your foot. If you put more pressure on the inside then it is pronation. So in my case, apparently I don't pronate enough and I supinate too much so I am an underpronator.

Still don't get it? Then look at these pictures. Both pictures are of the right foot by the way.

Foot roll inward = pronation

Foot roll outward = supination (this is me)

Still don't get it? Then see this website.

Still don't get it? Then pandai pandai lah find.

No wonder always get leg pain. Never run properly. Not only leg pain, my shoes also botak on the outside already. If you see my futsal shoes then you can see the outer part of the tapak like damn botak until the rubber also disappeared. Even my black leather shoe also like that. But just a mild baldness. There, my futsal shoes:

See the base? Outer part got curve already.

So what to do? I was searching online then I found one website to ease the problem. So how? Get new shoes!!! But what shoes? It should have all these things:
  • superior cushioning
  • soft, flexible midsole
  • single-density midsoles
  • lightweight running shoes
Sounds like a very expensive shoe to me. Don't know wanna get it or not. And I don't think futsal shoes has any of these qualities. Futsal or running? Hmmm...

Anyway if you run a lot and you think you don't run properly, why not figure out your problem. Got excuse to buy new shoes then.

Listen Listen

Do you know any underrated singers? I feel that one really underrated singer is Zee Avi. Our own Malaysian. Have you heard any of her songs? Kantoi or Bitterheart maybe? Well if you haven't then I think you should. No auto tune, just a really really really beautiful voice that makes people's heart melt. I really really respect her for the fact that she doesn't dress up all fancy or wear and do macam-macam to gain publicity like other Malaysian artistes. She just needs her voice.

Her face, as beautiful as her voice...

Check out some of her songs or covers before she got famous on her Youtube channel, Kokokaina.

Another singer that I think is really underrated is Keri Hilson. Check out some of her songs and see what you think. Even from her youtube page you can see that she doesn't have as many views as she should have. Even the retarded gummy bear song has more than 100 million views, how come Keri Hilson only got so little?

And one thing that I notice is that she has a very "sincere" smile. I don't know how to explain it, so see for yourself. I think that her smile by itself is enough to make people like her.

See the pretty face?

So people, please pay more attention to these good singers that deserve more attention than what they are getting now. Don't just simply listen to what everybody else is listening to and don't hate on people just because others around you do, like Justin Bieber. Listen to what you want and why not give these little known singers a try.

Drink Drink

This is an article from the Cars, Bikes, Trucks section (every Sunday) of the NST. Here's the link to the article where CBT will try to solve readers' problems.

Distracting reflection on windshield:

I recently purchased a Perodua Alza Advanced, which comes with a dashboard mounted GPS navigation unit. Unfortunately, when driving at night, the reflection from the GPS screen is obstructing my view, as shown in this photo.

I think this is dangerous for drivers. I hope that Perodua can provide a solution.

- Muzafar Abdullah

Reply from Perodua:

Our findings concur with Muzzafar's claim that the reflection from the mounted GPS unit does obstruct the driver’s view when driving at night.
To overcome that problem, our GPS vendor will supply an add-on cup holder for our customers.

So the next time you see reflections a.k.a distractions (notice the label in the picture?) in your windscreen, get a drink. Who says you shouldn't drink and drive...
